Abstract
There were many papers stating that pregnancy had no deleterious effects to the management of the patients with malignant disease. But, it is well established that irradiation and cytotoxic drugs during pregnancy are associated with a significant
risk
of abortion and teratogenesis. These risks are concentrated in the first trimester and only minimal evidence of increased risk of malformation or abortion during the second or third trimester. We have experienced a normal fetal outcome from the
case of
a patient with an advanced, inflammatory breast cancer(stage III B) was diagnosed in the 2nd trimeter of the pregnancy.(18 weeks of gestation). Who was managed by 4 times of combination chemotherapy(5-FU; 500 mg/§³. Adriamycin; 500 mg/§³and
Cyclophospomide 500mg/§³) and radiotherapy(total dose 6000 rad) from 19 weeks through 32 weeks of pregnancy.
